CSCA hosted a program last night that was out of the ordinary by presenting a series of speakers who shared their stories of failure and redemption (when it was possible). Like the others who participated, I didn't back out and got up to share my story. My theme centered around the idea of silence not being golden, but rather it's stupid when your instinct guides you to speak up, but you don't. Not doing anything can have unforeseen consequences. It was a fun night where I got to share the stage with brave people talking about the things that haven't been the highlights of their careers. It was all for a good cause if just one person who was in the crowded theater can avoid repeating any of the shared mistakes in the future.
