I had the pleasure of participating in the unique Columbus College of Art & Design program, "The Art of Networking Event" last night at the Crane Center for Design on campus. The event was a part of the CCAD Professional Practice Course which prepares students for their creative careers. The class is composed of 75 students in Fashion, Interior, Industrial Design, Animation, Advertising and Design.
Last night was all about students learning how to network with professionals. It's great to have students focus on developing these skills to prepare them for their future careers. As I mentioned to many, "who you know" will continue to matter even with our increased use of technology. Networking is a skill everyone needs to mind and participate in wherever you may be in your career.
